I'm back... for what it's worth
So the last few months have been pretty hectic for me. I have started a new job as a product design consultant which has pushed me in the right direction for my career which I amĀ gratefulĀ for. On the downside, It has left me very little time to develop Kram Design and other design related tasks such as this blog. The freelancing lifestyle left me with far too much time on my hands to dig into...

Ohhh Japan...
As you would already know, the Japanese culture fascinates me. One thing that fascinates me as a designer is the abundance of gadgets/gizmos/inventions that come out of the country. This being said, a great deal of these are wacky, weird or for a very niche market.
So without further ado I would like to announce the “Foot Pee! Pack “. Oh that’s right, you read correctly! For...

Kram has arrived...
Kram Design has arrived, well pretty much. Kram is a company I decided to start as a result of a lacking number of industrial design jobs at current. Although to begin it will be primarily a graphic design company, I hope to eventually specialize specifically in industrial design. Your welcome to drop in and check it out!
There are still a few small things I need to modify and fix, but...

retro find of the day...
I have been searching for this piece of nostalgia for a few months now, and this morning it has officially been found. I knew it was somewhere around the house, and I knew that no one would be stupid enough to throw it out. Essentially it is my brothers, however, I still remember collecting a few of the coins myself, so I am claiming some bragging rights.
It is the official Teenage Mutant...

i want a cadillac couch!
I know people always say these are cheesy, but I say who cares. If you like something, get it! This is one of those purchases that I will make somewhere in my future, because honestly they are awesome. I am thinking a 59 or 68[Deville] Caddy like the image above or 65 mustang. Hard to go past the 59 Caddy though with it’s unique shape and style cues. Enough of my rant on this, you will...

skin cancer - aid
British scientists believe that they have developed a way to kill skin cancer cells in the comfort of the home! Essentially, it is a strip of elastomer plastic with LED’s embedded in it. A cream called Aminolaevulinic acid is applied to the skin prior to use that acts as a catalyst absorbing the red light of the LED’s and then targeting the cancer cells. Yet another awesome...

This is a must visit site for all you Star Wars fans [including me]. While there is all this buzz going around about the new Star Trek movie, I am staying true to the Star Wars franchise. Okay, there is a good chance that the previous statement will turn out to be a lie. Honestly, I would have realistically seen about 1-3 minutes of Star Trek footage in my 22 years of existence [primarily...

desktop layout
Reading Giz [modo] this afternoon I couldn’t help but come across this image by PHD comics. It just works! I know so many people who have desktops just like this. I know mine used to be cluttered with icons and folders and random crap. although now I have to confess that I have none except for my objectdock side bar. I’m pretty sure I am becoming obsessive compulsive as I grow...

obsidian mustang
I stumbled across what I thought was a ‘knight rider’ styled mustang over at the cool hunter. Rather it was a custom build project for SEMA, from what I can gather. For any of you who don’t know what the SEMA show is, well it’s basically the place to be to show off your custom and classic cars once a year in Las Vegas. Anyway, back to the stang… Well it can hardly...

bike rack meets skateboard
I love seeing practical redesigns of existing products to meet different needs! I came across this skate rack @ Ballerhouse. This ultra cool skateboard rack is both a stylish and safe way to store your decks when not in use. Although they are relatively pricey, ranging for $225 - $700 they are very practical and cool. Each deck can be locked via the trucks and wheels. I guess this leaves the...

ninja warrior entries
You have to be impressed by the video submissions for the Ninja Warrior challenge on G4TV. I mean they really are dedicated to this lifestyle. If this doesn’t get you motivated to get out and go exercise or go to the gym, I don’t know what will. Enjoy!
Do you have what it takes to be a ninja warrior?

ninja invasion on housework
I am never folding my clothes again like a sucker in a 4 step method. Thanks goes out to @andywana [Twitter] that linked this to my attention. I put out the challenge to rival this ninja method. can you beat this, without sacrificing folding detail?

Konomi Code lives on
First off, those of you who don’t know, the Konomi Code is a sequence of buttons to activate cheats or hidden options/items/specials on countless Konomi games from teenage mutant ninja turtles: turtles in time [favourite snes game] to the unsurpassable metal gear series [favourite PS games]. It consists of entering up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, A, B at a specific time in the...

- there are 135 Sandstrom’s in Australia
- there is a really cool graphic design company called Sandstrom Partners in Oregan, USA [Sandstrom Partners]
