Konomi Code lives on

First off, those of you who don’t know, the Konomi Code is a sequence of buttons to activate cheats or hidden options/items/specials on countless Konomi games from teenage mutant ninja turtles: turtles in time [favourite snes game] to the unsurpassable metal gear series [favourite PS games]. It consists of entering up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, A, B at a specific time in the game.

So what some hackers and lovers of the Konomi code did was enable the code to be entered on the ESPN website. Entering the code and clicking “Enter” to collage the site with an abundance of magical unicorns and colourful rainbows. I don’t think that ESPN would agree, but this was one hilarious hack that I missed out on seeing first hand. The code has since been removed from the site. Check out the image below!
